GU Radiator Aluminium Shroud Suits Wide Nissan Radiator

These are popular for 1HD-FTE Conversions into GU Patrols, and are what we use in-house for our conversion shrouds.

This kit has the mounting tabs welded on, and the aluminium ring pre-rolled. There is no hole in the shroud, the hole will need to be cut to suit your fan location after mounting your engine. Thermo fans can also be mounted directly to the shroud, if you are not using a factory clutch style fan off your engine. We typically recommend approx 20-25mm larger hole than the diameter of your engine fan. This allows for engine movement without the fan contacting the shroud. The easiest way to do this is to temporarily fit the shroud without the rolled ring, hold a sharpie against the edge of the fan blade and rotate the fan around until a circle is drawn on the shroud. This circle can then be cut 25mm larger & the ring welded on.

This is a semi – DIY kit. The mounting tabs are welded and the ring has been rolled, but required a hole to be cut & the ring to be welded on in your desired location.

Supplied with 2 threaded locating pins for the bottom of the shroud.

A fan shroud directs airflow through the radiator instead of around it, dramatically improving cooling efficiency—especially at idle and low speeds. It also increases safety by covering the fan blades and helping prevent overheating in demanding conditions.
